everyone who participated in the 1st Annual Twin Beaches Karaoke Idol
Karaoke Contest/Fundraiser sponsored by Abner’s Crab
House to benefit the North Beach Volunteer Fire
Department Auxiliary! The contest began on February 5, 2011
and the finals were held on March 26, 2011. We had 17 contestants who
entered the event and each was extremely talented. During the eight
weeks of the contest, singers amassed points by raising money for the
NBVFD Auxiliary and their weekly attendance at the contest.
At the finals, there were three judges who critiqued each singer and
his/her performance and awarded points in three categories.
The winner of the contest/fundraiser was Paul
Strine who could sing just about any song you could
name and perform it well. Second place went to Vanessa
Long whose soulful Motown classics never failed
to electrify the audience, while third place was taken by Kevin
Brown, whose specialty was country music.

Each of these great performers helped raise badly needed funds for the
North Beach VFD Auxiliary and helped make this event a great success!
