Party DJ & Karaoke: 2010 – The Year in Review!
Because
of YOUR FANTASTIC support, 2010 was the best year yet for Instant Party
DJ & Karaoke! We had five public gigs going at one time! Among the
weekly gigs we had were the Applebee’s of Waldorf, Bowie, California
MD, and Largo, and of course, DAMON’s of Waldorf. Unfortunately,
because of the tragic shooting of the Maryland State Trooper at the
Forestville Applebee’s, (which was NOT our gig), Applebee’s
of Largo decided to forgo weekly karaoke. And that was after a packed
house the previous week!
We performed at several weddings, both indoor and outdoor, and parties
of all kinds, including several wonderful Sweet 16’s. When Applebee’s
of Bowie hosted the Bowie Bartender Challenge, we were there keeping
the contestants pumped for the competition! While every event was memorable,
these large events were standouts - Bladensburg VFD Annual Banquet,
Associated Builders and Contractor’s Chesapeake Annual Bull Roast
and also their Silent Auction, NCIS Christmas Party, NAVFAC (SEABEEs)
Summer Picnic and also their Christmas Party.
2010 was the year we gave away the most DJ’s Choice Bobbleheads
and indeed, depleted the entire supply in the USA, so we switched to
awarding trophies, later in the year. The light up pens continued to
be a very successful and coveted promotion for all our new singers and
we gave away over 2000! Many of our most loyal singers also received
microphone necklaces.
Towards the end of the year, we decided another great way to reward
our loyal singers and venues was to hold a free drawing for a Karaoke
Machine and 25 Karaoke Song Discs. It was such a hit that we will be
having the same drawing at all our commercial gigs in 2011!
We added several more exciting talented karaoke jockeys to our stable!
In addition to DJ Tawna who is well known and well
respected all over Maryland and beyond, DJ Jen,
DJ OT, and DJ Happy Pants kept the party going,
no matter where they were playing!
2011 looks to be another great year for
Instant Party DJ & Karaoke
as we just picked up another commercial gig and have several parties
and weddings scheduled! One thing is certain, our commitment to providing
the best in musical entertainment for our venues and singers, no matter
where we perform, will remain our most important goal!
