Party DJ & Karaoke is proud to have been chosen as the KARAOKE DJ for the
Three Day Karaoke Contest at the 2007 Prince George's County Fair. The Prince
George's County Fair is Maryland's Oldest County Fair and the main events of the
fair were held on September 6-9 at the Prince George's Equestrian Center in Upper
Marlboro, Maryland.
The Karaoke Contest, which was the centerpiece of the fair's
entertainment, was held on Friday evening, all day Saturday, with the finals on
Sunday afternoon. The weather was hot and dry, as most of this summer has been.
Over 150 contestants of all ages competed for the grand prize of $1,000.00, and
a professional talent scout was in attendance to search for America's next great
recording artist.
Music of every genre was represented, from Country to R &
B, and everything in-between, and rest assured, every performer did his or her
best to take home the grand prize. Contestants ranged in age from six years old
to over 60.
The top tune was Al Green's classic, "Let's Stay Together,"
but several other contestants took home checks ranging from $200.00 to $750.00.
